About UNOC 2025
The United Nations Ocean Conference 2025, to be held in Nice, France, serves as a global platform for advancing solutions to protect and sustainably use the world's oceans, seas, and marine resources. Bringing together world leaders, policymakers, scientists, industry representatives, and youth advocates, the conference aims to accelerate action toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water). The event will address critical challenges such as marine pollution, overfishing, climate-driven ocean changes, and innovative solutions for ocean governance.

- Gain practical experience by working on the planning, coordination, and execution of activities related to EMAM’s participation in UNOC 2025.

- Contribute to policy and advocacy efforts by supporting research, drafting policy briefs, and assisting in developing key messages for UNOC discussions.

- Enhance leadership and communication skills through public outreach, media engagement, and awareness campaigns related to ocean sustainability.
Eligibility Criteria
We invite applications from individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Strong interest in climate diplomacy, marine conservation, environmental policy, or sustainable development.
- Excellent communication, research, analytical, or organizational skills.
- Ability to commit time and effort to planning, outreach, and coordination activities leading up to UNOC 2025.
- Experience in event organization, policy research, advocacy, or stakeholder engagement is an asset.
- A proactive mindset, teamwork capabilities, and an international perspective.
Roles and Responsibilities
Members of the UNOC 2025 Preparation Team will be responsible for:
- Assisting in logistical planning for EMAM’s participation in the conference.
- Conducting research on key ocean sustainability topics relevant to UNOC 2025.
- Supporting the preparation of policy briefs, reports, and communication materials.
- Engaging with stakeholders, media, and partner organizations to enhance EMAM’s impact at UNOC.
- Organizing pre-conference activities, workshops, and public awareness campaigns.
Important Note:
EMAM will not cover or reimburse any expenses related to participation in the UNOC conference, including travel, accommodation, or other costs.
